December is here, which means it’s finally time to crank up Wham!’s Last Christmas, pop open that Baileys and transform our house into a Winter Wonderland that would make Michael Bublé feel right at home for his annual outing.

And if you’re looking for decorations on a budget, Dunelm has got some seasonal gems that are discounted by up to 30% – from festive lights to lush artificial trees.

This 6ft Oxford Pine Christmas tree is now down from £149 to £119.20. It comes pre-lit with warm LED bulbs, and the hinged branches make it easy to achieve the full and natural look of a real tree. Plus, the lights are dimmable with eight different settings, so you can personalise to your every festive mood.

Shopper Merry said she was left very bright (pun intended) after opting for her first artificial tree.

‘Always had a real xmas tree throughout my life,’ she explained. ‘I have bought an artificial tree for the first time. Hard decision but age has started to ’kick in’ very pleasantly surprised by the quality of my purchase. Nicely bushy and easy to erect/dismantle.’

‘This is a fantastic tree, very full and extremely well made,’ Julie added in her feedback.

Fancy something taller? The 7ft Abies Christmas Tree is a real showstopper, and also down from £149 to £119.20. If you want something lush and full, this tree has 2,562 realistic branch tips, and they’re bendable to make hanging decorations super simple.

‘Beautiful natural looking christmas tree, love the height and it’s not massively wide so good for smaller living room,’ Maara said in her review.

Amelia was also impressed, gushing: ‘So realistic and a perfect size. It’s a lot slimmer on the bottom, compared to my white company tree. This one has less tinsel branches on the inside too. So chuffed with it and especially the price!’

If you’re tight on space, the 3ft Abies Christmas Tree is the perfect slimline solution.

‘Beautiful realistic Christmas tree, excellent quality, a great size for a small corner,’ Jan said in her feedback, while Santy 72 added: ‘Very nice tree almost looks real. Perfect for my window. Great price worth every penny. Would reconmend.’

And if you fancy going the whole ham hog this Christmas, why not snap up the 7ft Pre-Lit Multicoloured LED Baytown Fir Christmas Tree? It’s almost £50 cheaper at £199.20, and oh-so-pretty with 400 multicoloured LED lights for the perfect festive ambience.

Set of 2 Iridescent Light Up Parcels
One word. Adorable. (Picture: Metro/Dunelm)

As for decks, your halls can have more than boughs of holly. Why not pop these Iridescent Light Up Parcels around the house or pop them under the tree? They’re now just £12.60 for a set of two, and shopper Pinks insisted: ‘5 STARS ISNT ENOUGH this item is stunning with timer love love love it.’

We also love how magical this 50cm Light Up Silver Rattan Deer looks, and it’s just £18. Battery-operated with an easy timer, it’s perfect for indoors or outdoors. Add a festive touch to your home or make your neighbours jealous with your front-garden Christmas display.

‘Loved this little reindeer, and looked lovely in the front garden,’ Jodie said in her review. ‘I very pleased with it well made and the batteries lasted throughout Christmas so that was another bonus.’ Mal added: ‘I was so pleased with this all my family admired it when they came to visit.’

So if you’re planning on getting things festive this weekend, why not head by Dunelm and snap up a bargain? Save your pennies for snacks, picky bits and booze instead…
