Damson Madder caught our attention with its bright colour palette, bold prints, and mixed fabrics when it first launched in 2020. I mean, how can you miss it?
Over the years since the London-based female-founded brand launched in 2020, there have been a number of stand-out pieces that have caught our attention, gone viral and sold out: the Tilly Gilet is one, as well as the Mia Midi Dress, among many others.
Now we are investing in our spring/summer and holiday closet, we have been keeping our eyes peeled for the return of the latter, which sold out with immediate effect last year. Though those who managed to secure the goods flooded our social media with pictures of them on far-flung beach vacations sporting the dress just to rub salt in the wound, or at least that’s how it felt.
We have been (im)patiently waiting for its return, and now the time has come – the Mia Midi Dress is back!
Mia Midi Dress
The multi-functional design has been crafted from 100% organic cotton, which is soft to the touch.The midi dress falls midway down the calves, boasts a shirred bust and a dropped waist. The straps on the upper can be fastened as a bow over the bust and worn as a bandeau design, or laced around the neck as a halterneck dress, or one shoulder design. The candy pink dress with striped pattern is available in sizes 6 to 20.
The Mia Midi Dress is an eye-catching number, not least because it comes in a bold candy pink colourway, with fine pinstripe detailing running vertically down the dress.
The dress features a shirred bust and waist, as well as a dropped waist, which is instantly flattering, but also practical as it provides a secure fit if you wear as a staples bandeau dress. The skirt billows out from the waist to fall mid-way down the calves.
However, the standout detail are the straps. The straps on the upper part of the dress can be tied in a bow across the bust, which is a stylistic feature Damson Madder is, arguably, best known for. But these straps can also be tied around the neck for a halterneck finish, worn as one-shoulder asymmetric design, or cross-back – why not get creative?
Crafted from 100% organic cotton, this dress is lightweight and breathable, which is perfect when the weather warms up.
Pair with flat sandals, ballet pumps, even socks and loafers for a casual everyday look. But, if you are heading to a wedding, or summer party, you can pair with heeled sandals, wedges, even thong kitten heels for an elevated look.
